What Cyfer is
Cyfer is a quantum-safe, real-time communication platform that unifies end-to-end encrypted chat, voice, video, and file sharing for your people and the devices they use.
Built for cross-company governance, so teams collaborate across employees, vendors, customers, and subcontractors without sacrificing enterprise control or compliance.
Cyfer is built on Messaging Layer Security (MLS, RFC 9420) with NIST post-quantum cryptography, and it runs in the cloud, on-premises, or both. The full architecture, including the cryptographic bill of materials, is in the Cyfer Platform Technical White Paper.
Who makes Cyfer
Cyfer is developed by Daylight Vision, Inc., a privately held company founded in 2023 and based in Las Vegas, Nevada. Daylight Vision builds secure communication technology for organizations that cannot accept vendor access to their data: defense and government suppliers, healthcare, financial services, and critical infrastructure operators.
Our mission is to give the world a new paradigm for communication that respects individual privacy. We believe privacy is a fundamental right, not a feature, and that it should hold up against the threats of the next decade, including cryptographically relevant quantum computers, not just the threats of today.
How we build
Three principles shape every design decision in Cyfer.
Keys stay on the device. Each device generates its own private keys locally, and those keys never leave it. Cyfer’s servers never see them. Every device is an independent member of the MLS group with its own key material, so compromising one device never exposes another.
Standards over secrets. We build on open, peer-reviewed IETF standards rather than proprietary cryptography: MLS for group key agreement, HPKE for key encapsulation, SFrame for real-time media, and NIST’s ML-KEM and ML-DSA for post-quantum protection. If you can read the RFC, you can audit the design.
Control belongs to the customer. Deployment, retention, legal hold, export, and audit are governed by the organization that owns the data, whether Cyfer runs in our cloud, your private cloud, or your own data center.
